PUPILS OF SOUTHPOINT ROYAL SCHOOL
VISIT THE OBA OF BENIN

The staff and students of Southpoint Royal School, Benin City have been advised to be good ambassadors of the institution wherever they go.
The advice was given by His Royal Majesty, Ewuare II, Oba of Benin when the staff and students of the school paid the Omo N’Oba a courtesy visit in the Palace.
The Benin Monarch enjoined the students to obey, honour and love their parents in order for them to grow to become responsible sons and daughters.
The Oba of Benin equally charged them to obey the rules and laws of the federal republic of Nigeria in order to be good citizens.
The Omo N’Oba said Southpoint Royal School was established on integrity, honour and truth, and admonished the students to always tell the truth and avoid malpractices in whatever they do.
The Administrative Director of the School, Princess (Barr.) Ikuoyemwen Ewuare Aimiuwu said they were in the Palace to acquaint the students with the rich history and tradition of Benin Kingdom.
The Acting Headmistress of Southpoint Royal School, Miss Winnie Afegbua informed His Royal Majesty that the school which was founded in 2003 has grown to include the secondary level, pointing out that they look forward to a time the school would attain an enviable status in the country.
She commended the Oba of Benin for his foresight in establishing the school.
Highpoint was the presentation of a portrait of the Oba drawn by a student of the school.
His Royal Majesty also received the Management of Prime Optical and Eye Clinic led by Dr. (Mrs.) V.C.U. Ideh and her husband Dr.Tosan Alex Ideh.
The Oba of Benin commended them for rendering humanitarian services to mankind, especially to the Palace, describing Dr. (Mrs.) Ideh as a kind and hardworking woman.
Ewuare II noted that Dr. (Mrs.) Idehhave made her mark in the optometry profession and prayed that God and the ancestors should bless her and her business, so that her legacy would continue for many years to come.
The Omo N’Oba assured her of Palace support at all times.
Earlier, Dr. (Mrs.) Ideh informed His Royal Majesty that they were carrying out their annual free eye test with specialist’s consultants and state of the art optical equipment, and would like to extend it to the Palace at an approved date.
Dr. (Mrs.) Ideh also appealed to His Royal Majesty for approval to name their Ultra-Modern Theatre after Oba Ewuare II, a request the Omo N’Oba immediately granted.
